gxf5 was the move I came up with, but admittedly there is a lot going on there. The pertinent variation to this move follows exf8=Q+ Nxf8 Bxf5 (anything else Rg6#) Nxf5#

Steven - white is going "up" the board (the white King is on g8), so gxf5 is not a legal move.

No doubt you were influenced by the White king on g8 and Black's pawns on the 2nd rank
