The Manitoba Chess Association will be holding the 2012 Junior Chess Championship on Sunday, November 4.

Eligibility: Open to Manitoba residents under 20 years of age as of December 31, 2012.

It will be held at the University of Winnipeg (Room 1M21)

The time control is as follows: each player will get 60 minutes. (G/60)

The approximate times of the rounds are:

Round 1: 10:00 AM

Round 2: Noon  (if Round 1 ends substantially earlier, we will start round 2 earlier)

BREAK

Round 3: 2:30 PM (if Round 2 ends substantially earlier than 2 pm , we will start round 3 earlier)
 
Round 4: approximately 4:30 PM


The Manitoba Junior is the highest-level junior chess tournament in Manitoba.
The winner, if rated over 1900, qualifies to the 2013 Manitoba Championship.


Registration time is 9:30 AM -10:00AM on Sunday November 4.


Entry Fee:
Open Section: $ 15
CFC Membership is not required.

Head to Head result if applicable,

else a two-game match will be arranged for a future date.
