Grandmaster Alex Yermolinsky to play a simultaneous exhibition - August 5

Cecil Rosner reported in the June 18 Winnipeg Free Press:
"Have you always wanted to match wits against a grandmaster? You'll have your chance this summer when GM Alex Yermolinsky plays a simultaneous exhibition at Portage Place.
Yermolinsky is a Soviet-born grandmaster and former U.S. champion who will be in Winnipeg to compete in the Abe Yanofsky Memorial tournament at the University of Winnipeg. At noon on Aug. 5, he will take on up to 30 players simultaneously in an exhibition.
Players of any age or experience can compete, but registration in advance is highly advised, as there will be a limit on participation. The cost is $ 10. To register, contact Blair Rutter at two-five-six-two-three-five-three or email blairrutter   AT  shaw.ca"

In the days to come I will add some simultaneous stories with local flavour.
