Costales taught me much about the game of chess and about life. I cant believe he has passed, we have lost a great, humble man. Thanks for everything Costales, I will miss you.

While I have been inactive from competitive chess for many years due to other commitments and studies, I have found memories of Servillano - a true gentleman with a great sense of humour, patience and respect for everyone. The news of his passing brought sadness to my heart and memories of our games, both in tournaments and while visiting his family. May he rest in peace.
