Brian Evans 1962-2012
Brian Evans has passed away. Brian was one of most active players in the past few years, and in fact had played as recently as the 2012 January TNT.
Below is a link to his CFC results
http://chess.ca/players?check_rating_number=141720&key=120303
He was a solid C-player, with his rating rarely outside the 1500-1600 range. But I will remember him most for his gentle demeanour, his unfailing willingness to help set up early on Tuesdays, and the brief chats we had before the rounds.
